81|1|When the sun be folded up and so darkened, 81|2|Waitha alnnujoomu inkadarat 81|2|And when the stars are obscured, 81|3|And when the mountains are made to pass away, Click here to return to the top 81|4|Waitha alAAisharu AAuttilat 81|4|And when the excellent she-camels will be discarded, 81|5|Waitha alwuhooshu hushirat 81|5|And when the wild beast will be herded together, 81|6|And when the rivers will be drained away, 81|7|Waitha alnnufoosu zuwwijat 81|7|And when (various) people will be united together, 81|8|Waitha almawoodatu suilat 81|8|And when the girl-child who is buried alive will be questioned about; 81|9|For what offence was she killed? 81|10|Waitha alssuhufu nushirat 81|10|And when books and papers will be spread abroad, Click here to return to the top 81|11|Waitha alssamao kushitat 81|11|And when the heights will be discovered, 81|12|Waitha aljaheemu suAAAAirat 81|12|And when the Hell-Fire will be set ablaze, 81|13|Waitha aljannatu ozlifat 81|13|And when the Paradise will be brought near, 81|14|AAalimat nafsun ma ahdarat 81|14|Every soul will know then what (store of deeds) it has brought forward. 81|15|Fala oqsimu bialkhunnasi 81|15|Nay, I call to witness those (planets) that recede while advancing in one direction, Click here to return to the top 81|16|Those (planets) that continue their forward course (along their orbits) and then disappear. 81|17|Waallayli itha AAasAAasa 81|17|And (I call to witness) the night when its darkness begins to depart, 81|18|Waalssubhi itha tanaffasa 81|18|And the dawn as it begins to breathe (and brightens up), 81|19|Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareemin 81|19|That verily this (Qur'ân) is indeed the word (revealed to and) uttered by a noble (and illustrious) Messenger (- Muhammad), 81|20|Thee quwwatin AAinda thee alAAarshi makeenin 81|20|Possessor of power, occupying a (glorious) secure position with the Lord of the Throne, Click here to return to the top 81|21|Who is entitled to be obeyed and who is here also known as trust-worthy. 81|22|Wama sahibukum bimajnoonin 81|22|And that this compatriot of yours (-Muhammad) is not at all mad. 81|23|Walaqad raahu bialofuqi almubeeni 81|23|And he has most surely seen himself (shining in the resplendence of his own light) in the clear horizon (- in the remotest corners of the world). 81|24|Wama huwa AAala alghaybi bidaneenin ] 81|24|And he is not at all niggardly, nor a forgerer in disclosing the hidden realties. 81|25|Wama huwa biqawli shaytanin rajeemin 81|25|Nor is this (Qur'ân) the word of satan who is driven away (from divine presence). 82|1|When the sky will be cleft asunder, 82|2|Waitha alkawakibu intatharat 82|2|And when the planets will become dispersed, 82|3|And when the rivers are widely split up and made to flow forth (into canals), 82|4|Waitha alqubooru buAAthirat 82|4|And when the graves will be laid open, 82|5|AAalimat nafsun ma qaddamat waakhkharat 82|5|Every person shall know (then) what (evil) actions (which he should not have done) he has committed, and what (good actions he should have done) he has omitted. Click here to return to the top 82|6|Ya ayyuha alinsanu ma gharraka birabbika alkareemi 82|6|O (ungrateful) human being! what has enticed you away from your Lord, the Honoured One, 82|7|Allathee khalaqaka fasawwaka faAAadalaka 82|7|Who created you, then perfected you (with wisdom), then endowed you with great natural powers and faculties, 82|8|Fee ayyi sooratin ma shaa rakkabaka 82|8|And He fashioned you in whatever form it pleased Him. 82|9|Kalla bal tukaththiboona bialddeeni 82|9|Surely, (it is) not at all (as you think), the truth is that you treat the Requital as a lie. 82|10|Wainna AAalaykum lahafitheena 82|10|Verily, there are (appointed) guardians over you, Click here to return to the top 82|11|Noble (angel) recorders (of your commissions and omissions), 82|12|YaAAlamoona ma tafAAaloona 82|12|Who know (all) that you do. 82|13|Inna alabrara lafee naAAeemin 82|13|The virtuous shall invariably be in (a state of) bliss. 82|14|Wainna alfujjara lafee jaheemin 82|14|But the wicked shall, of course, be in the flaming Fire. 82|15|Yaslawnaha yawma alddeeni 82|15|They will enter therein on the Day of Requital, Click here to return to the top 82|16|Wama hum AAanha bighaibeena 82|16|And they shall not at all (be able to) keep themselves away (by escaping) from it. 82|17|Wama adraka ma yawmu alddeeni 82|17|What should make you know what the Day of Requital is! 82|18|Thumma ma adraka ma yawmu alddeeni 82|18|Again (We repeat) how can you know what the Day of Requital is! 82|19|Yawma la tamliku nafsun linafsin shayan waalamru yawmaithin lillahi 82|19|(It is) the day when no person shall be able to do anything for another! On that day the (absolute) Judgment of every sort shall entirely belong to Allâh. Chapter |

83|1|Woe be to those who make a default in any of their duties and give short measure. 83|2|Allatheena itha iktaloo AAala alnnasi yastawfoona 83|2|When they receive measure from other people they receive in full (not allowing the least shortage and loss), 83|3|Waitha kaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroona 83|3|But when they give by measure to others or weigh to them they give them less (than what is due). 83|4|Ala yathunnu olaika annahum mabAAoothoona 83|4|Do not such people realize that they will be raised (to life again), 83|5|To face (and hear the Judgment of) that Great Day? Click here to return to the top 83|6|Yawma yaqoomu alnnasu lirabbi alAAalameena 83|6|The Day when mankind shall stand before the Lord of the worlds? 83|7|Kalla inna kitaba alfujjari lafee sijjeenin 83|7|Nay, (not at all as they believe) the record of (the deeds) of the wicked is in Sijjîn (- the register of a prison) 83|8|What should make you know what that Sijjîn is? 83|9|(It is) a book written (distinctly and comprehensively). 83|10|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena 83|10|On that Day woe shall befall those who belie (the truth); Click here to return to the top 83|11|Allatheena yukaththiboona biyawmi alddeeni 83|11|Those that belie the Day of Requital. 83|12|Wama yukaththibu bihi illa kullu muAAtadin atheemin 83|12|No one can treat it as a lie except every sinful transgressor, 83|13|Itha tutla AAalayhi ayatuna qala asateeru alawwaleena 83|13|(Who) when Our Messages are recited to him says, `(These are) mere fables of the ancients.' 83|14|Kalla bal rana AAala quloobihim ma kanoo yaksiboona 83|14|Nay (not at all so), the truth is that their (evil) deeds have rusted their hearts. 83|15|Kalla innahum AAan rabbihim yawmaithin lamahjooboona 83|15|Nay (We repeat, not at all so). Verily, they shall be debarred from (the sight and mercy of) their Lord that day. Click here to return to the top 83|16|Thumma innahum lasaloo aljaheemi 83|16|Then they shall surely enter into the flaming Fire, 83|17|Thumma yuqalu hatha allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona 83|17|Then it shall be said (to them), `This is that (very punishment) which you used to cry lies to.' 83|18|Kalla inna kitaba alabrari lafee AAilliyyeena 83|18|Behold! verily the record (of the righteous deeds) of the virtuous will be in `Illîyyîn (- the register of those enjoying the most exalted ranks). 83|19|Wama adraka ma AAilliyyoona 83|19|And what should make you know what `Illîyyûn is? 83|20|It is a book (distinctly and comprehensively) written, Click here to return to the top 83|21|Yashhaduhu almuqarraboona 83|21|Which those drawn near (to their Lord) will find present. 83|22|Inna alabrara lafee naAAeemin 83|22|The virtuous shall indeed be in (a state of) bliss (that Day). 83|23|AAala alaraiki yanthuroona 83|23|(Reclining) upon raised couches they shall be looking (at every thing all around). 83|24|TaAArifu fee wujoohihim nadrata alnnaAAeemi 83|24|You shall find freshness and bloom of bliss in their faces. 83|25|Yusqawna min raheeqin makhtoomin 83|25|They shall be given to drink a pure and delightfully refreshing beverage sealed (and secure from all contamination). |

83|26|Khitamuhu miskun wafee thalika falyatanafasi almutanafisoona 83|26|(Even) the sealing and dregs of which will have flavour of musk, so to this (noble end) let (all) the aspirants aspire. 83|27|Wamizajuhu min tasneemin 83|27|And this (beverage) will be tempered with Tasnîm (flowing from on high). 83|28|AAaynan yashrabu biha almuqarraboona 83|28|(This Tasnîm is) a spring of which those drawn near (to God) shall drink. 83|29|Inna allatheena ajramoo kanoo mina allatheena amanoo yadhakoona 83|29|Those who had severed their ties (with God) used to laugh at those who believed, 83|30|Waitha marroo bihim yataghamazoona 83|30|And when they passed by them (- the believers) they winked at one another (by way of ridiculously finding fault with them), Click here to return to the top 83|31|Waitha inqalaboo ila ahlihimu inqalaboo fakiheena 83|31|And when they returned to their companions they returned exulting with pride, 83|32|Waitha raawhum qaloo inna haolai ladalloona 83|32|And when they saw these (Muslims) they said, `These are surely the straying ones!' 83|33|Wama orsiloo AAalayhim hafitheena 83|33|Though they were not deputed as guardians (to guard) over them. 83|34|Faalyawma allatheena amanoo mina alkuffari yadhakoona 83|34|Now, on this day (of Judgment) it is the believers who will wonder at the disbelievers, 83|35|AAala alaraiki yanthuroona 83|35|(Seated) on raised couches of (dignity). They (- the believers) will be looking (at the miserable state of the disbelievers in Gehenna). 83|36|Hal thuwwiba alkuffaru ma kanoo yafAAaloona 83|36|(Then it shall be said,) `The disbelievers have been duly requitted for (the misdeeds) that they used to do.' 84|1|When the sky bursts asunder, 84|2|Waathinat lirabbiha wahuqqat 84|2|And gives ear to (the command of) its Lord to obey, and it is fitly disposed (to do so), 84|3|And when the earth is stretched out and receives fresh manure (for the spiritual and physical progress of its dwellers), 84|4|Waalqat ma feeha watakhallat 84|4|And casts forth all that it has in it, and becomes (as if) empty, 84|5|Waathinat lirabbiha wahuqqat 84|5|And gives ear to (the command of) its Lord to obey, and it is fittingly disposed (to do so). Click here to return to the top 84|6|Ya ayyuha alinsanu innaka kadihun ila rabbika kadhan famulaqeehi 84|6|O Mankind! verily you are (by nature) toiling on towards your Lord a laborious toiling, then (through arduous service to Him) you shall surely meet Him. 84|7|Faama man ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi 84|7|Then as for the person who is given his record (of deeds) in his right hand, 84|8|Fasawfa yuhasabu hisaban yaseeran 84|8|He shall soon be reckoned an easy reckoning, 84|9|Wayanqalibu ila ahlihi masrooran 84|9|And he will return to his people joyfully. 84|10|Waamma man ootiya kitabahu waraa thahrihi 84|10|But as for the one who will have his record (of deeds) given to him behind his back (as a sign that he had thrown the divine teachings behind his back), Click here to return to the top 84|11|Fasawfa yadAAoo thubooran 84|11|He shall soon call (so to say) for complete destruction (to end his agonies). 84|12|And he will enter into a blazing Fire. 84|13|Innahu kana fee ahlihi masrooran 84|13|Verily, (before this) he used to be joyful among his companions (and neglected the Hereafter). 84|14|Innahu thanna an lan yahoora 84|14|He deemed that he would never return (to God). 84|15|Bala inna rabbahu kana bihi baseeran 84|15|Yet he did (return to God to account for his deeds), surely his Lord was ever watchful of him. I call to witness the twilight of sunset, 84|17|And the night and (all) that it envelopes, 84|18|Waalqamari itha ittasaqa 84|18|And the moon when it become full, 84|19|Latarkabunna tabaqan AAan tabaqin 84|19|That you shall invariably pass on from one stage to another. 84|20|So what is wrong with them that they do not believe? [Prostration] 84|22|Bali allatheena kafaroo yukaththiboona 84|22|On the contrary, these disbelievers cry lies (to the Qur'ân ). 84|23|WaAllahu aAAlamu bima yooAAoona 84|23|And Allâh knows best all that they keep hidden (in their hearts). 84|24|Fabashshirhum biAAathabin aleemin 84|24|So (do not bother about them, rather) give them the news of a woeful punishment. 84|25|Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoonin 84|25|Different, however, is the case of those who believe and do deeds of righteousness. 85|1|Waalssamai thati alburooji 85|1|I call to witness the starry spangles of the sky, 85|2|And the Promised Day, 85|3|And the Bearer of witness (- the Prophet), and that to whom the witness is borne (- the Prophet's community), 85|4|(That these disbelievers will face destruction as were) destroyed the Fellows of the Trenches. 85|5|(These trenches had) the fire (fed) with fuel, Click here to return to the top 85|6|Ith hum AAalayha quAAoodun 85|6|When they sat by them (- the trenches). 85|7|Wahum AAala ma yafAAaloona bialmumineena shuhoodun 85|7|And they were the witnesses of those (wrongs) they were doing to the believers. 85|8|Wama naqamoo minhum illa an yuminoo biAllahi alAAazeezi alhameedi 85|8|They hated and tortured these (believers) for no reason other than that they had believed in Allâh, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 85|9|Allathee lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi waAllahu AAala kulli shayin shaheedun 85|9|To Whom belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allâh is Witness over all things. 85|10|Inna allatheena fatanoo almumineena waalmuminati thumma lam yatooboo falahum AAathabu jahannama walahum AAathabu alhareeqi 85|10|Those who (deliberately) persecute the believing men and women and then do not repent, shall suffer the punishment of Gehenna and they shall suffer the torment of (heart) burning (in the present life). Click here to return to the top 85|11|Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum jannatun tajree min tahtiha alanharu thalika alfawzu alkabeeru 85|11|But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness shall have Gardens served with running streams (to keep them green and flourishing). This indeed is the great achievement. 85|12|Inna batsha rabbika lashadeedun 85|12|Terrible indeed is the seizing of your Lord. 85|13|Innahu huwa yubdio wayuAAeedu 85|13|It is He Who originates and continues reproducing. 85|14|Wahuwa alghafooru alwadoodu 85|14|And He is the Protector, the Most Loving; 85|15|Thoo alAAarshi almajeedi 85|15|Lord of the Throne (of Power), the Lord of all Glory, Click here to return to the top 85|16|Absolute Performer of what He intends (to carry out). 85|17|Hal ataka hadeethu aljunoodi 85|17|There has reached you the account of the hosts 85|18|Of Pharaoh, and Thamûd. 85|19|Bali allatheena kafaroo fee taktheebin 85|19|The truth is that the disbelievers are persisting in belying (the Divine Messages), 85|20|WaAllahu min waraihim muheetun 85|20|And Allâh encompasses (them from all sides,) from behind (and from in front of) them (to punish them). 86|1|I call to witness the heaven and the visitant (in the darkness) of the night. 86|2|And what should make you know what the night-visitant is? 86|3|(It is) the star of piercing brightness. 86|4|In kullu nafsin lamma AAalayha hafithun 86|4|Remember! a guardian is appointed (by God) over every soul. 86|5|Falyanthuri alinsanu mimma khuliqa 86|5|Therefore let (every) human being consider from what material he is created. Click here to return to the top 86|6|He is created from a jetting fluid, 86|7|Yakhruju min bayni alssulbi waalttaraibi 86|7|Which issues forth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 86|8|Innahu AAala rajAAihi laqadirun 86|8|Verily, He (Who created him the first time) has the power of bringing him back to life (in the Hereafter). 86|9|On the Day, when the hidden things shall be exposed, 86|10|Fama lahu min quwwatin wala nasirin 86|10|Then the person (who has engrossed himself in worldly affairs) shall have neither power to defend himself nor he will have any (other) helper. Click here to return to the top 86|11|Waalssamai thati alrrajAAi 86|11|I call to witness the clouds that rain over and over again, 86|12|Waalardi thati alssadAAi 86|12|And the earth that bursts forth (with herbage and with springs), 86|13|(That) verily, this (Qur'ân) is a decisive word. 86|14|And it is not a vain (revelation). 86|15|Innahum yakeedoona kaydan 86|15|And they (- the disbelievers) devise a device (against it). 87|1|Sabbihi isma rabbika alaAAla 87|1|Extol the holiness of the name of your Lord, the Most High. 87|2|Who creates (all things) and gives (them) suitable and perfect shapes. 87|3|Waallathee qaddara fahada 87|3|Who determines (the capacities and faculties) and furnishes them with (appropriate) guidance to achieve the final goal. 87|4|Waallathee akhraja almarAAa 87|4|And Who brings forth the pasturage, 87|5|FajaAAalahu ghuthaan ahwa 87|5|And then turns it into dried up rubbish, gray coloured. Click here to return to the top 87|6|We will soon teach (you and) make you recite (the Qur'ân) so that you shall not forget (any part of it). 87|7|Illa ma shaa Allahu innahu yaAAlamu aljahra wama yakhfa 87|7|Except whatever (other things which) Allâh will (and which things you are apt to forget as a human being). Indeed He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 87|8|And We shall provide you (every) facility and make things easy for you. 87|9|Fathakkir in nafaAAati alththikra 87|9|Therefore keep on reminding (the people), surely reminding does good. 87|10|Sayaththakkaru man yakhsha 87|10|He who stands in awe (of God) will heed, Click here to return to the top 87|11|But the person steeped in wickedness goes on avoiding it. 87|12|Allathee yasla alnnara alkubra 87|12|He who will enter the great Fire, 87|13|Thumma la yamootu feeha wala yahya 87|13|Then he shall neither die therein nor live. 87|14|Verily, that person who purifies himself truly will succeed (both in this life and in the Hereafter), 87|15|Wathakara isma rabbihi fasalla 87|15|And remembers and extols the name of his Lord and offers Prayers. Click here to return to the top 87|16|Bal tuthiroona alhayata alddunya 87|16|But the fact is that you people prefer the present life, 87|17|Waalakhiratu khayrun waabqa 87|17|Though the (the life in) the Hereafter is much better and more lasting. 87|18|Inna hatha lafee alssuhufi aloola 87|18|These (teachings) are so stated in the earlier Scriptures; 87|19|Suhufi ibraheema wamoosa 87|19|The Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. Click here to return to the top 88|21|Fathakkir innama anta muthakkirun 88|21|Keep on admonishing (them even if they insist on shutting their eyes), so your duty is one of an admonisher. 88|22|Lasta AAalayhim bimusaytirin 88|22|You are not (appointed) a keeper, stern and hard, to (compel) them. 88|23|Illa man tawalla wakafara 88|23|But as to him who turns away and disbelieves, 88|24|FayuAAaththibuhu Allahu alAAathaba alakbara 88|24|Allâh shall punish him with the greatest punishment. 88|25|Verily, to Us is their ultimate return; 88|26|Thumma inna AAalayna hisabahum 88|26|Then it is surely for Us to call them to account. |

89|1|I call to witness (all the times and places specially important for the acceptance of prayers including) the dawn (of the twentieth of Ramadzân), 89|2|And the (last) ten Nights (of Ramadzân), 89|3|And (the Prayers which consist of) the even and odd (number of Rak`ats performed during these nights). 89|4|And the Night (- Lailatul-Qadr, the Blessed Night), when it moves on (to its close). 89|5|Hal fee thalika qasamun lithee hijrin 89|5|In it there is surely a strong evidence for one who has sense and understanding. Click here to return to the top 89|6|Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biAAadin 89|6|Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with `âd 89|7|Of Iram, possessors of tall statures and lofty columns, 89|8|Allatee lam yukhlaq mithluha fee albiladi 89|8|The like of whom have not been created in these parts of land? 89|9|Wathamooda allatheena jaboo alssakhra bialwadi 89|9|And (how He dealt with the tribe of) Thamûd who hewed out huge rocks in the valley (to make their housings)? 89|10|WafirAAawna thee alawtadi 89|10|And (how He dealt with) Pharaoh, lord of vast hosts? Click here to return to the top 89|11|Allatheena taghaw fee albiladi 89|11|(All these people were) those who committed (all sort of) excesses in the cities, 89|12|Faaktharoo feeha alfasada 89|12|And they spread a lot of corruption and lawlessness therein, 89|13|Fasabba AAalayhim rabbuka sawta AAathabin 89|13|(So much) so that your Lord let loose on them the scourge and various kinds of punishments. 89|14|Inna rabbaka labialmirsadi 89|14|Behold! your God is always on the watch. 89|15|Faamma alinsanu itha ma ibtalahu rabbuhu faakramahu wanaAAAAamahu fayaqoolu rabbee akramani 89|15|Moreover a human being is such that when his Lord disciplines him (by prosperity) and (thus) honours him and bestows favours on him, he says, `My Lord has honoured me.' Click here to return to the top 89|16|Waamma itha ma ibtalahu faqadara AAalayhi rizqahu fayaqoolu rabbee ahanani 89|16|And when He disciplines him (with affliction) and (thus) straitens for him his (means of) subsistence, he says, `My Lord has (for no reason) disgraced me.' 89|17|Kalla bal la tukrimoona alyateema 89|17|Nay, (what you think is wrong,) but (the reason for this degradation is that) you (for your part) do not honour the orphan, 89|18|Wala tahaddoona AAala taAAami almiskeeni 89|18|And you do not urge one another to feed the poor, 89|19|Watakuloona altturatha aklan lamman 89|19|And you devour the heritage (of others) wholly and indiscriminately, 89|20|Watuhibboona almala hubban jamman 89|20|And you are exceedingly fond of wealth. When the earth is completely crushed into pieces, 89|22|Wajaa rabbuka waalmalaku saffan saffan 89|22|And when (the judgment of) your Lord comes (to pass), and the angels (descend also) ranged rank on rank (to execute His decree), 89|23|Wajeea yawmaithin bijahannama yawmaithin yatathakkaru alinsanu waanna lahu alththikra 89|23|On that Day Gehenna shall be brought near. (It is) on that very Day that a person will remember (the admonition), but of what avail shall that remembrance be to him (at that time)? 89|24|Yaqoolu ya laytanee qaddamtu lihayatee 89|24|He will say, `O would that I had sent forward (some good deeds as a provision) for this my life here (on this side).' 89|25|Fayawmaithin la yuAAaththibu AAathabahu ahadun 89|25|So on that day none but He shall execute His punishment, Click here to return to the top 89|26|Wala yoothiqu wathaqahu ahadun 89|26|And no one but He shall bind like His binding. 89|27|Ya ayyatuha alnnafsu almutmainnatu 89|27|(As for the person who has been blessed with a contented and peaceful mind He will say to him,) `O you soul at peace! 89|28|IrjiAAee ila rabbiki radiyatan mardiyyatan 89|28|`Come back to your Lord well-pleased with Him and He well-pleased with you. 89|29|`Enter the fold of My chosen servants, 89|30|`And enter the Garden made by Me.' |

90|1|La oqsimu bihatha albaladi 90|1|Nay, (it will never happen as the disbelievers desire.) I do swear by this city (of Makkah), 90|2|Waanta hillun bihatha albaladi 90|2|When you will surely alight (as a conqueror) in this city. 90|3|And (I cite as witness your) father (- Abraham) and (his exalted) son (- Ismâîl). 90|4|Laqad khalaqna alinsana fee kabadin 90|4|We have certainly created a human being (to face obstacles and) to struggle hard (to achieve a marvelous goal). 90|5|Ayahsabu an lan yaqdira AAalayhi ahadun 90|5|Does he think that no one will have power (to use) against him? Click here to return to the top 90|6|Yaqoolu ahlaktu malan lubadan 90|6|He will say, `I have wasted enormous wealth.' 90|7|Ayahsabu an lam yarahu ahadun 90|7|But does he think that no one sees him? 90|8|Alam najAAal lahu AAaynayni 90|8|Have We not given him two eyes (to distinguish right from wrong); 90|9|And a tongue and two lips (so that he can ask if he cannot see for himself), 90|10|And We have pointed out to him the two conspicuous high ways (of right and wrong)? Click here to return to the top 90|11|Fala iqtahama alAAaqabata 90|11|Yet he would not attempt the uphill path of steep and difficult ascent. 90|12|Wama adraka ma alAAaqabatu 90|12|And what should make you know what the uphill path of steep and difficult ascent is? 90|13|(It is) the freeing of a captive (from the bondage of slavery, debt and other afflictions), 90|14|Aw itAAamun fee yawmin thee masghabatin 90|14|Or feeding in the time of famine 90|15|An orphan, near of kin, 90|16|Aw miskeenan tha matrabatin 90|16|Or a downtrodden poor man. Click here to return to the top 90|17|Thumma kana mina allatheena amanoo watawasaw bialssabri watawasaw bialmarhamati 90|17|And what is even more, then he is of those who believe and exhort one another to be patiently persevering and exhort one another to be compassionate (towards God's creation). 90|18|Olaika ashabu almaymanati 90|18|These (who follow this hard path) are the blessed ones (- the people of the right hand). 90|19|Waallatheena kafaroo biayatina hum ashabu almashamati 90|19|But those who denied Our Messages are the wretched ones (- the people of the left hand). 90|20|AAalayhim narun musadatun 90|20|There shall envelop them the Fire closed over (- a Fire the heat of which is not allowed to escape and they themselves cannot get out of it). |
