76. Al-Insan (Man, Human), 31 ayat, 2 rukus, Madinan surah

76|1|Hal ata AAala alinsani heenun mina alddahri lam yakun shayan mathkooran

76|1|There did pass over a human being a while of a long space of time when he was not a thing worth mentioning.

76|2|Inna khalaqna alinsana min nutfatin amshajin nabtaleehi fajaAAalnahu sameeAAan baseeran

76|2|We have surely created a human being from a sperm drop uniting (it) with (an ovum); We wanted to bestow Our favour on him. That is why We made him hearing and seeing (- enjoying discretion and volition, and so responsible for his actions).

76|3|Inna hadaynahu alssabeela imma shakiran waimma kafooran

76|3|Verily, We have shown him the path clearly (giving him the full choice) whether he be grateful or ungrateful.

76|4|Inna aAAtadna lilkafireena salasila waaghlalan wasaAAeeran

76|4|We have indeed prepared for the ungrateful chains and shackles and the blazing Fire.

76|5|Inna alabrara yashraboona min kasin kana mizajuha  kafooran

76|5|The virtuous shall truly drink of a cup tempered with camphor (a symbol of purity and coolness).

76|6|AAaynan yashrabu biha AAibadu Allahi yufajjiroonaha tafjeeran

76|6|(The drink is from) a spring from which the devotees of Allâh shall drink. They will strive hard in directing it to flow in abundance (enabling others to drink from it).

76|7|Yoofoona bialnnathri wayakhafoona yawman kana sharruhu mustateeran

76|7|They fulfill (their) vows (by doing their duty to God and mankind) and fear a day the woes of which shall be wide spread.

76|8|WayutAAimona alttaAAama AAala hubbihi miskeenan wayateeman waaseeran

76|8|They give food for the love of Him to the indigent, the orphan and the captive.

76|9|Innama nutAAimukum liwajhi Allahi la nureedu minkum jazaan wala shukooran

76|9|(Assuring them by their gestures,) `We feed you only to seek the pleasure of Allâh, we desire no recompense from you nor thanks.

76|10|Inna nakhafu min rabbina yawman AAaboosan qamtareeran

76|10|`We surely fear from our Lord (the punishment of) a day (on which the wrong doers will be) frowning and distressful.'

76|11|Fawaqahumu Allahu sharra thalika alyawmi walaqqahum nadratan wasurooran

76|11|So Allâh will guard them from the evil of that day and will bestow on them cheerfulness (of face) and happiness (of mind).

76|12|Wajazahum bima sabaroo jannatan wahareeran

76|12|And will reward them for their having persevered, with (a blissful) Garden (to live in) and silk (to wear).

76|13|Muttakieena feeha AAala alaraiki la yarawna feeha shamsan wala zamhareeran

76|13|(They shall be) reclining on raised couches. They shall experience therein neither excessive heat of the sun nor intense cold.

76|14|Wadaniyatan AAalayhim thilaluha  wathullilat qutoofuha tathleelan

76|14|There shall be spreading close over them the shades of it (- the Garden full of trees), and their clustered fruit brought low within their easy reach.

76|15|Wayutafu AAalayhim bianiyatin min fiddatin waakwabin kanat qawareera

76|15|They shall be served round in vessels of silver and goblets of crystal,

76|16|Qawareera min fiddatin qaddarooha taqdeeran

76|16|(Looking) crystal clear (but made) of silver, made in special mold determined (by the agents of the Lord of judgment and measure).

76|17|Wayusqawna feeha kasan kana mizajuha zanjabeelan

76|17|And therein they shall be given to drink a cup which is tempered with ginger (a symbol of strength),

76|18|AAaynan feeha tusamma salsabeelan

76|18|(Which flows from) a spring therein called Salsabîl (- inquire about the way).

76|19|Wayatoofu AAalayhim wildanun mukhalladoona itha  raaytahum hasibtahum luluan manthooran

76|19|Sons of perpetual bloom shall go round (waiting upon) them. When you see them you will take them to be pearls scattered about.

76|20|Waitha raayta thamma raayta naAAeeman wamulkan kabeeran

76|20|When you look (considering the Garden as a whole) you will find therein blessings abounding everywhere and (all the equipments of) a splendid kingdom.

76|21|AAaliyahum thiyabu sundusin khudrun waistabraqun wahulloo asawira min fiddatin wasaqahum rabbuhum sharaban tahooran

76|21|Over them shall be robes of fine green silk and of thick brocade, and they shall be given bracelets of silver as ornaments. And their Lord shall give them to drink a purifying beverage.

76|22|Inna hatha kana lakum jazaan wakana saAAyukum mashkooran

76|22|(It will be said,) `This is indeed a reward for you, and your striving has been fully appreciated.'

76|23|Inna nahnu nazzalna AAalayka alqurana tanzeelan

76|23|Surely, it is We, yes We Who have revealed to you the Qur'ân by a gradual and piecemeal revelation.

76|24|Faisbir lihukmi rabbika wala tutiAA minhum athiman aw kafooran

76|24|Therefore abide perseveringly by the commandments of your Lord (and wait for the fulfillment of the prophecies) and yield to none of the sinful and ungrateful (disbelievers).

76|25|Waothkuri isma rabbika bukratan waaseelan

76|25|Extol the name of your Lord morning and evening,

76|26|Wamina allayli faosjud lahu wasabbihhu laylan taweelan

76|26|And prostrate yourselves before Him for a part of the night and give Him glory for long hours of the night

76|27|Inna haolai yuhibboona alAAajilata wayatharoona waraahum yawman thaqeelan

76|27|Verily, these (disbelieving people) love the present transient life and neglect very hard day (which lies) ahead of them.

76|28|Nahnu khalaqnahum washadadna asrahum waitha  shina baddalna amthalahum tabdeelan

76|28|It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong; but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change.

76|29|Inna hathihi tathkiratun faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeelan

76|29|Verily, this Qur'ân is a Reminder. So let him who wishes, take a way to his Lord.

76|30|Wama tashaoona illa an yashaa Allahu inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman

76|30|And you (true believers) should wish no other way except as Allâh wishes (for you). Verily, Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

76|31|Yudkhilu man yashao fee rahmatihi waalththalimeena aAAadda lahum AAathaban aleeman

76|31|He admits to His mercy those who wish (and strive) for it. As to the wrong-doers, He has prepared a woeful punishment for them.

77|1|Waalmursalati AAurfan

77|1|I call to witness those (messengers of Truth) who are sent forth to spread goodness (in continual series),

77|2|FaalAAasifati AAasfan

77|2|Those that drive off forcefully (falsehood and forces of evil as chaff is carried before the wind),

77|3|Waalnnashirati nashran

77|3|And those that spread (the truth) far and wide,

 77|4|Faalfariqati farqan

77|4|And those that fully distinguish (the right from the wrong),

77|5|Faalmulqiyati thikran

77|5|And those carrying the Message of (rising to) eminence far and wide (- the Qur'ân),

77|6|(And those presenting this source of eminence) in an attempt to purify (some) from the abomination of sin and to warn (others),

77|7|Innama tooAAadoona lawaqiAAun

77|7|Verily, that which you are promised must come to pass.

77|8|Faitha alnnujoomu tumisat

77|8|So when the small stars will be made to lose their light,

77|9|Waitha alssamao furijat

77|9|And when the heaven shall be opened,

77|10|Waitha aljibalu nusifat

77|10|And when the mountains shall be blown down to pieces,

77|11|And when the Messengers shall be made to appear (in the guise of one person) at the appointed time. (It is after that the Resurrection shall take place)

 77|12|Liayyi yawmin ojjilat

77|12|To what day have these (portents) been deferred;

 77|13|Liyawmi alfasli

77|13|To the Day of Judgment.

77|14|Wama adraka ma yawmu alfasli

77|14|How shall you know what the Day of Judgment is?

77|15|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|15|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the truth).

77|16|Alam nuhliki alawwaleena

77|16|Did We not destroy the earlier peoples?

77|17|Thumma nutbiAAuhumu alakhireena

77|17|We will now cause the later generations to follow suit.

77|18|Kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeena

77|18|That is how We deal with the guilty.

77|19|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|19|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the truth).

77|20|Alam nakhluqkum min main maheenin

77|20|Did We not create you from an insignificant fluid,

77|21|Then We placed it in a secure and safe place,

77|22|Ila qadarin maAAloomin

77|22|Till an appointed term?

77|23|Faqadarna faniAAma alqadiroona

77|23|Thus did We determine, and how good We are at determining!

77|24|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|24|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the truth).

  77|25|Alam najAAali alarda kifatan

77|25|Have We not made the earth revolving and capable of drawing (other bodies) towards itself,

77|26|The living and the dead?

 77|27|WajaAAalna feeha rawasiya shamikhatin waasqaynakum maan furatan

77|27|And (have We not) made therein lofty mountains and (by means of them) We provide you sweet and wholesome water to drink?

 77|28|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|28|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the truth).

 77|29|Intaliqoo ila ma kuntum bihi tukaththiboona

77|29|(It will be said to the followers of Trinity,) `Now, move on towards that (punishment) which you cried lies to,

 77|30|Intaliqoo ila thillin thee thalathi shuAAabin

77|30|`Move on to the shadow that has three branches,

  77|31|La thaleelin wala yughnee mina allahabi

77|31|`(Which is) neither affording shade (to you) nor protects (you) from the flame.'

 77|32|Innaha tarmee bishararin kaalqasri

77|32|Rather it throws huge sparks as huge and high as towers,

  77|33|Kaannahu jimalatun sufrun

77|33|(Sparks) that look like tawny camels.

 77|34|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|34|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the truth).

 77|35|Hatha yawmu la yantiqoona

77|35|This is a day when they shall not be able to speak,

 77|36|Wala yuthanu lahum fayaAAtathiroona

77|36|Nor shall they be allowed to offer excuses.

 77|37|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|37|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the truth).

 77|38|Hatha yawmu alfasli jamaAAnakum waalawwaleena

77|38|(God will tell them,) `This is the Day of Judgment (when) We have gathered you and all the earlier peoples together;

 77|39|Fain kana lakum kaydun fakeedooni

77|39|`If you have any device try it against Me (to escape this punishment).'

 77|40|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|40|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the truth)

  77|41|Inna almuttaqeena fee thilalin waAAuyoonin

77|41|(As for) those who guarded against evil and were dutiful (to God and mankind) they shall, indeed, on that day live in the midst of comforts and (in places with) springs,

 77|42|Wafawakiha mimma yashtahoona

77|42|And fruits, such as they desire.

 77|43|Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima kuntum taAAmaloona

77|43|(It will be said to them,) `Eat and drink delightfully as a reward for that which you used to do (in your life-time).'

 77|44|Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena

77|44|Truly that is how We reward the doers of good.

 77|45|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|45|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the Truth).

 77|46|Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakum mujrimoona

77|46|(Disbelievers!) eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while (in the world). Surely, you are the guilty (ones).

 77|47|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|47|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the Truth).

 77|48|Waitha qeela lahumu irkaAAoo la yarkaAAoona

77|48|When it is said to them, `Bow down (before your Lord)!' they bow not down.

 77|49|Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

77|49|On that day woe shall befall those who belie (the Truth).

 77|50|Fabiayyi hadeethin baAAdahu yuminoona

77|50|Look! in what other revelation will they believe after this (when they have refused to accept such an infallible Book as this Qur'ân).

78|1|AAamma yatasaaloona

78|1|What is that these (disbelievers) are asking one another about?

78|2|AAani alnnabai alAAatheemi

78|2|(Is it) about the greatly important and very useful announcement leading to knowledge;

78|3|Allathee hum feehi mukhtalifoona

78|3|About which they differ (from the Muslims and among themselves)?

 78|4|Kalla sayaAAlamoona

78|4|It is not as they assume. They shall surely know (the truth thereof).

 78|5|Thumma kalla sayaAAlamoona

78|5|(We say it) again, the real thing is not as they believe. They shall surely come to know (the truth thereof).

 78|6|Alam najAAali alarda mihadan

78|6|Have We not made the earth as a bed,

 78|7|Waaljibala awtadan

78|7|And the mountains as (a series of) pegs?

 78|8|Wakhalaqnakum azwajan

78|8|And We have created you in pairs (males and females);

 78|9|WajaAAalna nawmakum subatan

78|9|And We have made your sleep a source of rest.

 78|10|WajaAAalna allayla libasan

78|10|And We have made the night as a covering,

 78|11|WajaAAalna alnnahara maAAashan

78|11|And We have made the day for the (various) pursuits of life.

 78|12|Wabanayna fawqakum sabAAan shidadan

78|12|And We have built above you seven strong (heavenly bodies of the solar system),

 78|13|WajaAAalna sirajan wahhajan

78|13|And We have made (therein) the sun providing immense light and heat from a long distance,

 78|14|Waanzalna mina almuAAsirati maan thajjajan

78|14|And We pour down from the dripping clouds water in torrent,

 78|15|Linukhrija bihi habban wanabatan

78|15|That We may bring forth therewith (all kinds of) grain and vegetation,

 78|16|Wajannatin alfafan

78|16|And (grow with it) gardens thick and luxuriant.

 78|17|Inna yawma alfasli kana meeqatan

78|17|Surely, the Day of Judgment is an appointed time.

 78|18|Yawma yunfakhu fee alssoori fatatoona afwajan

78|18|The day when the trumpet will be blown, and you will come in large troopes.

 78|19|Wafutihati alssamao fakanat abwaban

78|19|And the heaven shall be flung open and it shall become (all) doors.

 78|20|Wasuyyirati aljibalu fakanat saraban

78|20|And the mountains shall be wiped out and shall become (as if reduced to) plains of sand.

 78|21|Inna jahannama kanat mirsadan

78|21|Surely, only Gehenna shall be in wait (for those who deny the truth).

 78|22|Lilttagheena maaban

78|22|A (nursing) home for the rebellious.

 78|23|Labitheena feeha ahqaban

78|23|There they shall be staying for ages (till all their maladies are completely treated).

 78|24|La yathooqoona feeha bardan wala sharaban

78|24|There they shall find no (comfort of) coolness, nor drink.

  78|25|Illa hameeman waghassaqan

78|25|All that they shall have will be boiling water or stinking fluid as a recompense,

78|26|Jazaan wifaqan

78|26|A befitting recompense (for the evils done by them).

  78|27|Innahum kanoo la yarjoona hisaban

78|27|They did not fear any reckoning at all;

 78|28|Wakaththaboo biayatina kiththaban

78|28|And they had belied Our Messages outright.

 78|29|Wakulla shayin ahsaynahu kitaban

78|29|And everything (of their deeds) We have fully recorded in a book (of deeds).

 78|30|Fathooqoo falan nazeedakum illa AAathaban

78|30|(It shall be said to them when they are about to be punished,) `Suffer therefore (the consequences of your evil deeds), We will do no more than increase your torment.

 78|31|Inna lilmuttaqeena mafazan

78|31|As for those who guarded against evil there awaits them a triumph,

78|32|Hadaiqa waaAAnaban

78|32|Orchards and vineyards;

78|33|WakawaAAiba atraban

78|33|And (blooming) young maidens suiting their age, and also matching in all other respects,

78|34|Wakasan dihaqan

78|34|And overflowing cups of pure and clean drink.

78|35|La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan wala kiththaban

78|35|Therein they will hear no vain discourse, no (topics based on) falsehood.

78|36|Jazaan min rabbika AAataan hisaban

78|36|(It will be said to each, `All this is) bestowed (on you) by your Lord, (both) by way of gift, (and) by reckoning.'

78|37|Rabbi alssamawati waalardi wama  baynahuma alrrahmani la yamlikoona minhu khitaban

78|37|The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that lies between them, the Most Gracious (God), Whom they dare not address.

78|38|Yawma yaqoomu alrroohu waalmalaikatu saffan la yatakallamoona illa man athina lahu alrrahmanu waqala sawaban

78|38|(All this will be) on the Day (of Resurrection) when the Perfect Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, none shall speak except he (- Muhammad) to whom the Most Gracious (God) will grant permission and who will speak (only) what is right.

78|39|Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi maaban

78|39|That day is bound to come, so let him, who will, seek recourse to his Lord.

78|40|Inna antharnakum AAathaban qareeban yawma yanthuru almaro ma qaddamat yadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru ya laytanee kuntu turaban

78|40|Verily, We have warned you of a punishment which is close at hand, a day when a person shall see what (good or evil deeds) he has sent on before (for the next life), and the disbeliever will say, `Would that I were mere dust.'

79|1|WaalnnaziAAati gharqan

79|1|I call to witness those groups of beings, who perform their duties (towards their Lord and mankind and themselves) with intense zeal and to the best of their capacity,

79|2|Waalnnashitati nashtan

79|2|And those who exert themselves vigorously,

79|3|Waalssabihati sabhan

79|3|And those who steer their course swiftly and skillfully,

79|4|Faalssabiqati sabqan

79|4|Then those who going foremost greatly excel (all others and attain the topmost positions),

79|5|Faalmudabbirati amran

79|5|Then those who administer the affairs in an excellent manner (shall reap the fruit of their striving).

79|6|Yawma tarjufu alrrajifatu

79|6|(It shall be) on the day when the quacking (earth) shall quake;

79|7|TatbaAAuha alrradifatu

79|7|Quakes after quakes shall follow this.

79|8|Quloobun yawmaithin wajifatun

79|8|On that day many hearts will be trembling with fear,

79|9|Absaruha khashiAAatun

79|9|Their eyes will be downcast (in disgrace).

79|10|Yaqooloona ainna lamardoodoona fee alhafirati

79|10|(These are the people) who say, `Shall we (really) be restored to (our) former state (after we are dead)?

79|11|Aitha kunna AAithaman nakhiratan

79|11|`Shall it be (even) when we are (reduced to) hollow bones?'

79|12|Qaloo tilka ithan karratun khasiratun

79|12|(And) who say, `Then such a resurrection shall indeed be fraught with loss.'

79|13|Fainnama hiya zajratun wahidatun

79|13|(Let them say what they think,) It will be no more than a single scare blast.

79|14|Faitha hum bialssahirati

79|14|And behold! (after that) they will all be (awakened and come out) in the open.

79|15|Hal ataka hadeethu moosa

79|15|The story of Moses has reached you.

79|16|Ith nadahu rabbuhu bialwadi almuqaddasi tuwan

79|16|When his Lord called out to him in the Sacred Valley of Tuwâ,

79|17|Ithhab ila firAAawna innahu tagha

79|17|(And directed him,) `Go to Pharaoh, he has transgressed all limits.

79|18|Faqul hal laka ila an tazakka

79|18|`And say (to him), "Would you like to purify yourself;

79|19|Waahdiyaka ila rabbika fatakhsha

79|19|"That I should guide you to your Lord so that you may stand in awe of Him?"'

79|20|Faarahu alayata alkubra

79|20|So (Moses went to Pharaoh and) he showed him the great sign (of the staff).

79|21|Fakaththaba waAAasa

79|21|But he belied (Moses) and disobeyed,

79|22|Thumma adbara yasAAa

79|22|Then he turned back striving (and devising schemes against him).

79|23|Fahashara fanada

79|23|And he gathered (his people) and proclaimed,

79|24|Faqala ana rabbukumu alaAAla

79|24|Saying, `I (- Pharaoh) am your supreme lord.'

 79|25|Faakhathahu Allahu nakala alakhirati waaloola

79|25|So Allâh seized him for the punishment of (both) the next and the present life.

79|26|Inna fee thalika laAAibratan liman yakhsha

79|26|Indeed, there is a lesson in this (event) for him who stands in awe (of his Lord).

79|27|Aantum ashaddu khalqan ami alssamao banaha

79|27|(O mankind!) are you harder to be created (again) or the heaven? He (the Almighty Lord) has made it.

79|28|RafaAAa samkaha fasawwaha

79|28|He has raised the height thereof, and has made it flawlessly perfect and well-balanced.

79|29|Waaghtasha laylaha waakhraja duhaha

79|29|And He gave darkness to its night, and brought forth the morn thereof.

79|30|Waalarda baAAda thalika dahaha

79|30|And along with it He hurled the earth away (from a bigger mass) and spread it forth.

79|31|Akhraja minha maaha wamarAAaha

79|31|He produced from it its water and pasture.

79|32|Waaljibala arsaha

79|32|He set the mountains firmly.

79|33|MataAAan lakum walianAAamikum

79|33|(He has done all this to serve as) a goodly provisions for you and your cattle.

79|34|Faitha jaati alttammatu alkubra

79|34|Behold! when that great calamity comes to pass,

79|35|Yawma yatathakkaru alinsanu ma saAAa

79|35|On that day every person will call to mind all that he strove for.

 79|36|Waburrizati aljaheemu liman yara

79|36|And Hell shall be brought in view of him who sees.

79|37|Faamma man tagha

79|37|Then as for the one who transgresses,

79|38|Waathara alhayata alddunya

79|38|And prefers the present life (to the Hereafter),

79|39|Fainna aljaheema hiya almawa

79|39|(Let him remember that) the Hell shall surely be (his) abode.

79|40|Waama man khafa maqama rabbihi wanaha alnnafsa AAani alhawa

79|40|But as for the one who fears to stand before his Lord and restrains himself from evil desires,

79|41|Fainna aljannata hiya almawa

79|41|Then Garden (of bliss) shall surely be (his permanent) abode.

79|42|Yasaloonaka AAani alssaAAati ayyana mursaha

79|42|The people ask you concerning the Hour (saying), `When shall it come to pass?'

79|43|Feema anta min thikraha

79|43|Why (do they ask this question)? It is you who are its reminder (you being one of its signs).

79|44|Ila rabbika muntahaha

79|44|The ultimate end of it is decreed by your Lord.

79|45|Innama anta munthiru man yakhshaha

79|45|You are only a Warner to one who fears it.

79|46|Kaannahum yawma yarawnaha lam yalbathoo illa AAashiyyatan aw duhaha

79|46|The day they witness it (-the Hour, they will feel) as if they had stayed (in the world and the grave) for an afternoon or a (short) forenoon thereof.

80|1|AAabasa watawalla

80|1|He (- the Prophet) frowned and turned aside,

80|2|An jaahu alaAAma

80|2|Because the blind man (- Ibn umme Maktûm) came to him (interrupting him unknowingly).

80|3|Wama yudreeka laAAallahu yazzakka

80|3|And what could make you (O Prophet!) know that he might purify himself.

80|4|Aw yaththakkaru fatanfaAAahu alththikra

80|4|Or that he might have paid heed to the admonition (that God has revealed to you) and this admonition would have done him good as well.

80|5|Amma mani istaghna

80|5|But as to him who considers himself self-sufficient and is indifferent (to the Truth);

80|6|Faanta lahu tasadda

80|6|To this one you were very attentive,

 80|7|Wama AAalayka alla yazzakka

80|7|Though you are not to blame if he does not purify himself.

80|8|Waamma man jaaka yasAAa

80|8|Whereas (the blind man) who came to you striving in right earnest (to learn the Qur'ân),

80|9|Wahuwa yakhsha

80|9|And all the while he stands in awe (of God);

80|10|Faanta AAanhu talahha

80|10|But you neglect him and pay him no regard.

80|11|Kalla innaha tathkiratun

80|11|This should not have been so. Verily, this (Qur'ân) is a means to rise to eminence (for you all).

80|12|Faman shaa thakarahu

80|12|So let him who desires, pay heed to it and rise to eminence.

80|13|Fee suhufin mukarramatin

80|13|(This Qur'ân is preserved) in such written leaves (of the Book) as are greatly honoured,

80|14|MarfooAAatin mutahharatin

80|14|(Which are) ranked high (and) are rid of all impurities,

80|15|Biaydee safaratin

80|15|Which are in the hands of scribes,

80|16|Kiramin bararatin

80|16|Noble and virtuous.

80|17|Qutila alinsanu ma akfarahu

80|17|Ruin seize the person (- one too proud to accept the reminder)! How ungrateful he is!

80|18|Min ayyi shayin khalaqahu

80|18|(Let him consider) from what (insignificant) material He has created him!

80|19|Min nutfatin khalaqahu faqaddarahu

80|19|From a mere sperm-drop! He (at first) creates him, then endows him with infinite capacity (to make progress),

80|20|Thumma alssabeela yassarahu

80|20|Then makes (his) passage (through all affair of life) easy for him.

80|21|Thumma amatahu faaqbarahu

80|21|Then He calls him to death and He assigns to him (an interim state of) a grave.

80|22|Thumma itha shaa ansharahu

80|22|And He will again raise him to life when He will.

80|23|Kalla lamma yaqdi ma amarahu

80|23|It cannot be (that there is no resurrection;) he has not yet carried out what He commanded him to do.

80|24|Falyanthuri alinsanu ila taAAamihi

80|24|Therefore let such a person look at his food.

80|25|Anna sababna almaa sabban

80|25|How (at first) We pour down water in abundance,

80|26|Thumma shaqaqna alarda shaqqan

80|26|Then We cleave the earth, a proper cleaving,

80|27|Faanbatna feeha habban

80|27|So that We cause grain to grow therein,

80|28|WaAAinaban waqadban

80|28|As well as grapes, vegetables,

80|29|Wazaytoonan wanakhlan

80|29|The olive, the date-palm,

80|30|Wahadaiqa ghulban

80|30|Orchards with dense trees,

80|31|Wafakihatan waabban

80|31|Fruits and herbage;

80|32|MataAAan lakum walianAAamikum

80|32|A goodly provision for you and your cattle.

80|33|Faitha jaati alssakhkhatu

80|33|Again (you should also consider) when the deafening shout shall come,

80|34|Yawma yafirru almaro min akheehi

80|34|The day when a person shall flee from his brother,

80|35|Waommihi waabeehi

80|35|And (from) his mother and his father,

80|36|Wasahibatihi wabaneehi

80|36|And (from) his spouse and his sons,

80|37|Likulli imriin minhum yawmaithin shanun yughneehi

80|37|On that day every person among them shall be concerned enough (regarding his own affairs to occupy him and) to make him indifferent (to others).

80|38|Wujoohun yawmaithin musfiratun

80|38|Some faces, that day, will be beaming,

80|39|Dahikatun mustabshiratun

80|39|Smiling (and) joyous.

80|40|Wawujoohun yawmaithin AAalayha ghabaratun

80|40|Some other faces, on that day, will have dust upon them,

80|41|Tarhaquha qataratun

80|41|Gloom covering them.

80|42|Olaika humu alkafaratu alfajaratu

80|42|Those will be (the faces of) the disbelievers and (of) the doers of evil.
