15|2|Rubama yawaddu allatheena kafaroo law kanoo muslimeena 15|2|Often those who disbelieve (in the verses of this perfect Book) would wish they had been Muslims.
15|3|Tharhum yakuloo wayatamattaAAoo wayulhihimu alamalu fasawfa yaAAlamoona 15|3|Leave them alone to eat and enjoy themselves and let vain hopes beguile them, but they will soon know (the reality).
15|4|Wama ahlakna min qaryatin illa walaha kitabun maAAloomun 15|4|And never did We destroy a township but it had a decree made known.

15|7|Law ma tateena bialmalaikati in kunta mina alssadiqeena 15|7|`Why do you not bring the angels (for punishment) to us, if you are of the truthful?'
15|8|Ma nunazzilu almalaikata illa bialhaqqi wama kanoo ithan munthareena 15|8|We send no angels until (the punishment becomes) rightly due and (when once We do send them) these (disbelievers) will not be the respited ones.
15|9|Inna nahnu nazzalna alththikra wainna lahu lahafithoona 15|9|Verily, it was We, We Ourself Who have revealed this Reminder (- the Qur'ân); and it is We Who are, most certainly, its Guardian.
15|10|Walaqad arsalna min qablika fee shiyaAAi alawwaleena 15|10|Indeed, We sent (Messengers) before you to the sects of the former peoples, Click here to return to the top 15|11|Wama yateehim min rasoolin illa kanoo bihi yastahzioona 15|11|Yet not a single Messenger ever came to them but they treated him scornfully.

15|13|La yuminoona bihi waqad khalat sunnatu alawwaleena 15|13|They will not believe in this (Qur'ân), though the precedence of the former peoples has already gone (before them showing how the opposition of truth makes them deserving of the punishment of God).
15|14|Walaw fatahna AAalayhim baban mina alssamai fathalloo feehi yaAArujoona 15|14|And if We opened to them a gate of the heaven and they (-the angels) began ascending through it,
15|15|Laqaloo innama sukkirat absaruna bal nahnu qawmun mashooroona 15|15|Even then these people would surely say, `Our eyes have only been dazed; rather We are a bewitched people.' Click here to return to the top 15|16|Walaqad jaAAalna fee alssamai buroojan wazayyannaha lilnnathireena 15|16|We have indeed set up constellations in the heaven, and We have decked it fair for the beholders,

15|18|Illa mani istaraqa alssamAAa faatbaAAahu shihabun mubeenun 15|18|As to one who wishes to steal a hearing (of the revelation to distort it) a bright fiery flame pursues him.
15|19|Waalarda madadnaha waalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatna feeha min kulli shayin mawzoonin 15|19|We have spread out and put fertilizers in the earth from outside, and set up firm mountains therein, and We have caused to grow upon it every suitable thing in due proportion.

15|22|Waarsalna alrriyaha lawaqiha faanzalna mina alssamai maan faasqaynakumoohu wama antum lahu bikhazineena 15|22|And We send impregnating winds and pour water from the clouds and give it to you to drink. You are not the ones to store it up.
15|23|Wainna lanahnu nuhyee wanumeetu wanahnu alwarithoona 15|23|And surely it is We, Ourself Who give life and cause death; and it is We Who are the (sole) survivors (after every thing perishes).
15|24|Walaqad AAalimna almustaqdimeena minkum walaqad AAalimna almustakhireena 15|24|And indeed We know those among you who are the foremost in accepting the truth, and We indeed know those who are the laggards.
15|25|Wainna rabbaka huwa yahshuruhum innahu hakeemun AAaleemun 15|25|And certainly it is your Lord Who will gather them together; verily, He is All-Wise, All-Knowing. |

Then they found therein (- the town) a wall which was on the point of falling down and he (- the divine being) repaired it. (Moses) said, `If you had wanted, you could have charged for it.'

So your Lord desired that they should attain their (age of) full strength and then take out their treasure; a mercy from your Lord, and I did not do it of my own accord, (whatever I did was the will of the Lord). This is the significance of that which you were not able to bear with patience.'
18|83|Wayasaloonaka AAan thee alqarnayni qul saatloo AAalaykum minhu thikran 18|83|And they ask you about Dhul-Qarnain (- Cyrus of Persia). Say, `I will just recite to you (in the word of Lord) some of his account,'
18|84|Inna makkanna lahu fee alardi waataynahu min kulli shayin sababan 18|84|Verily, We granted him authority on the earth, (his empire extended from Persia to the Black Sea on one side and from Asia Minor to Afghanistan and Baluchistan on the other) and provided him with all sorts of means.
18|85|Then (it so happened that) he launched out on a (particular) course (to the western part of his empire). Click here to return to the top

We said, `Dhul-Qarnain! you may either punish (them) or treat them with kindness. (They being at your disposal.)'

18|93|Hatta itha balagha bayna alssaddayni wajada min doonihima qawman la yakadoona yafqahoona qawlan 18|93|So that when he reached a place (- Derbent) between two barriers (on one side the Caspian Sea and on the other the Caucasian mountains) he found in their vicinity a people who could hardly understand speech (in his Persian language).
